Gwinnett Air Conditioning

A traditional Gwinnett home comfort system from Summer Breeze Heating & Air Conditioning has two parts: an indoor unit, such as a furnace or air handler, and an outdoor unit. An air conditioner is the outdoor unit that cools air and sends it to the indoor unit for circulation through your Gwinnett home. CARRIER indoor and outdoor units are designed to work together. When the air conditioner is properly matched with a furnace or air handler, you get maximum efficiency and longer system life. Let Summer Breeze Heating & Air Conditioning install and maintain a new CARRIER Air Conditioning Unit in your Gwinnett home today.

Gwinnett Furnaces

Gwinnett High-Efficiency Heat Pumps

For climates with moderate heating and cooling needs, heat pumps installed from Summer Breeze Heating & Air Conditioning offer an energy-efficient alternative to regular furnaces and air conditioners. Like your refrigerator, heat pumps use electricity to move heat from a cool space into a warm, making the cool space cooler and the warm space warmer. During the heating season in Gwinnett, heat pumps move heat from the cool outdoors into your warm house; during the cooling season, heat pumps move heat from your cool house into the warm outdoors. Because they move heat rather than generate heat, heat pumps can provide up to 4 times the amount of energy they consume.

The most common type of heat pump is the air-source heat pump, which transfers heat between your Gwinnett house and the outside air. If you heat with electricity, a heat pump can trim the amount of electricity you use for heating by as much as 30%–40%. High-efficiency heat pumps also dehumidify better than standard central air conditioners, resulting in less energy usage and more cooling comfort in summer months. However, the efficiency of most air-source heat pumps as a heat source drops dramatically at low temperatures, generally making them unsuitable for cold climates, although there are systems that can overcome that problem. Let Summer Breeze Heating & Air Conditioning install a new CARRIER High-Efficiency Heat Pump in your Gwinnett home today.

Gwinnett Packaged Heating and Cooling Systems

Packaged Heating and Cooling Systems systems form Summer Breeze Heating & Air Conditioning offer a more minimalist approach to heating and cooling for your Gwinnett home. The system contains the same components as your typical split-system—the evaporator, condenser, compressor and more—all working together in one space-saving unit. Packaged units are typically installed outdoors at ground level or on the roof, making them versatile for both horizontal or down-flow designs.

How it works

Packaged systems have been carefully engineered to give you all of your heating and cooling equipment in a single cabinet. Depending on your weather situation and energy needs, you can choose from four types of packaged systems, each working differently:

• Heat pump packaged systems that both heat and cool your home
• Air conditioner packaged systems that offer cooling solutions for warmer climates
• Hybrid fuel packaged systems that work as a heat pump, but can also provide gas heating for greater flexibility
• Gas/electric packaged systems that can switch from electric air conditioning to gas heating to give you more fuel options

An independent contractor like Summer Breeze Heating & Air Conditioning can help you decide if a packaged system is right for you. You can choose from a broad lineup of fuel choices, energy efficiency levels and air handling options for your matched system. Let Summer Breeze Heating & Air Conditioning install a new CARRIER packaged heating and cooling system in your Gwinnett home today.

Gwinnett Thermostats

A new installed programmable CARRIER thermostat from Summer Breeze Heating & Air Conditioning helps make it easy for you to save by offering four pre-programmed settings to regulate your Gwinnett home's temperature in both summer and winter - when you are home, asleep, or away.

The pre-programmed settings that come with programmable thermostats are intended to deliver savings without sacrificing comfort. Depending on your family's schedule, you can see significant savings by sticking with those settings or adjust them as appropriate for your family.
The key is to establish a program that automatically reduces heating and cooling in your Gwinnett home when you don't need as much. Let Summer Breeze Heating & Air Conditioning install a new CARRIER thermostat in your Gwinnett home today.

Gwinnett UV Air Purifiers

There are a number of manufacturers of air purifiers who have begun to include a UV stage in their products. This is done so that the air purifiers address the concerns of those who are concerned about microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses. The at-risk very old and very young are typically the population for which UV air purifiers are purchased.

Ultraviolet or UV light has a shorter wavelength than violet light which has the shortest wavelength in the visible spectrum. Thus UV is in visible to the human eye. The UV spectrum has been divided into three categories: 380-315 nm which is called UVA and was used in the "Backlights" of the 70s, 315-280 nm which is called UVB, and <280 nm which is called UVC and the range which kills microorganisms. UVA, UVB, and UVC can all cause damage to the eyes and also cause skin cancer.
UV is effective in killing organisms such as bacteria and viruses. It achieves this by disturbing the DNA of the organism at a molecular level. There are two wavelengths of UV light that are best absorbed and thus most effective at killing microorganisms. These are 185 nm and 265 nm. This means that for a UV lamp to be effective killing microorganisms it must emit energy in or around one of those wavelengths. Let Summer Breeze Heating & Air Conditioning install a new CARRIER UV Air Purifiers in your Gwinnett home today.

Gwinnett Air Handlers

Your Summer Breeze Heating & Air Conditioning central air conditioning system consists of two main parts—an outdoor unit and an indoor unit, or air handler. The air handler is an important part of your air conditioning equipment. Its job is to effectively circulate conditioned air throughout your home. When matched with a Summer Breeze Heating & Air Conditioning heat pump, it circulates both cool and hot air, depending on the season. With properly sized air handlers, your family has the right amount of clean, comfortable air all year round.

Plus, air handlers make a significant contribution to the overall efficiency of your system. That’s because the more efficient your air handler is, the less work your outdoor unit has to do to make your home comfortable. Let Summer Breeze Heating & Air Conditioning install a new CARRIER air handler in your Gwinnett home today.

Gwinnett Dehumidifiers

Dehumidification can be very important in areas of high humidity like Gwinnett. High humidity in cooler temperatures gives you a wet clammy feeling and in warmer temperatures causes a wet sticky feeling and causes perspiration to stay on your body and soak in to you clothes rather than evaporate.

High humidity can also cause mold & mildew through out the house and even ruin very expensive clothes, fabrics, paintings & wall coverings. All air-conditioning units take out some humidity when they are running but in very humid areas this is not enough and you need a dehumidifying system. This can take out up to 15 times more water from the air than a standard system with very little operating cost penalty. Let Summer Breeze Heating & Air Conditioning install a new dehumidifier in your Gwinnett home today by calling (678) 377-2005.

Gwinnett Air Cleaners

Be sure your home's air is clear of dust, pollen, fungi, smoke and other particles too small to see. It's easy with a HEPA, Electronic or Media Air Cleaner. These cleaners provide stepped-up filtration, more effective than your furnace or air conditioner alone. In fact, these cleaners can remove up to 94 percent of the particles that pass through your home's system. And since these pollutants can build up as film on walls and furniture, this is performance you'll feel and see. Let Summer Breeze Heating & Air Conditioning install a new air cleaner in your Gwinnett home today by calling (678) 377-2005

Gwinnett Evaporator Coils

There are two main components to a Summer Breeze Heating & Air Conditioning installed Central air conditioner: the condenser and the evaporator.

In most average air conditioning units, the condenser can be found outside of your Gwinnett home. The evaporator coil is usually found mounted in the junction of the main duct on top of the furnace which is located inside the building. The function, maintenance, repair and upkeep are of the most vital importance to the overall output and workings of the air conditioner.

Most central air conditioning units operate by means of a split system. That is, they consist of a "hot" side, or the condensing unit—including the condensing coil, the compressor and the fan—which is situated outside your home, and a "cold" side that is located inside your home. The cold side consists of an expansion valve and a cold coil, and it is usually part of your furnace or some type of air handler. The furnace blows air through an evaporator coil, which cools the air. Then this cool air is routed throughout your Gwinnett home by means of a series of air ducts. Let Summer Breeze Heating & Air Conditioning service, replace or clean your homes evaporator coil today to ensure many trouble free years of operation.
